Elicia Sanchez Does New Stuff!

October 30, 2016 at 8:00 pm

The Rendezvous

Comedian Elicia Sanchez does a night of brand new, possibly never before seen comedy! A queer, pansexual, mixed-race, non-binary Seattle-based comedian, writer and comic book reader, Elicia Sanchez has a lot of identities and has been talking about them all over the United States since 2010. Their conversationally cynical, yet upbeat comedic style weaves together a unique mix of embarrassing personal stories, nerdy obsessions, social politics and possible overshares, making light of their own instances of social incompetence while also skewering oppressive social norms.

Who is Elicia Sanchez you might still be asking yourself? Here’s what other people said!

“A grumpy nugget of delight.” – Lindy West (Writer/Author, Shrill, GQ, The Guardian)

“My favorite underground Northwest comedian.” – Kimya Dawson (Grammy Award-winning musician)

“A brilliant new voice everyone should know.” – Hari Kondabolu (Comedian, Conan, Comedy Central)

“Elicia Sanchez might be the funniest stand-up I’ve ever seen. Seriously.” – HelloGiggles.com

“Fearless.” – City Arts Magazine

“The best advice I can give: Whenever you can see [them], go see Elicia Sanchez.” – Crosscut.com

“Elicia Sanchez is the truth.” – W. Kamau Bell (Comedian/Host of CNN’s United Shades of America)

Also featuring special guest comedian, Nick Sahoyah!
