The Madame presents a rotating cast of poets\, each operating within a carefully crafted character\, who impart their work in public readings\, spontaneous eruptions of poetry\, and most distinctly\, as purveyors of private poetry readings on beds\, chaise lounges and in private rooms. For a small fee\, all of the poets are available for these sequestered readings at any time during the event. Of course\, any true bordello need a good cover; ours is an immersive cabaret featuring burlesque\, live music\, vaudeville\, aerials\, visual art\, magic\, mysticism\, with newly integrated themes\, performances and installations at each event. \nAccording to the great Oscar Wilde\, “Man is least himself when he talks in his own person. Give him a mask\, and he will tell you the truth.” That couldn’t be more true at The Poetry Brothel on our Masquerade Tour\, where we promise to bring you more truth\, beauty\, hilarity\, and intimacy than ever before. On November 9th the featured entertainers include house band Howlin Hobbit & The Accidental Rhino\, sir-lesque artists Johnny Nuriel & Isaiah Esquire\, aerialist Holly Bordeaux\, burlesque dancer Foxy Tann\, magician Josh Lamb\, palm reader and jewelry maker Holy Crow\, a slew of poetry whores\, and\, of course\, your hosts\, The Madame\, Mister Charley\, and Tennessee Pink. This will surely be a celebration for the ages–bigger\, better\, truer\, and weirder than ever! This event will have two different start times. DESCRIPTION:Each month we have a show to raise money to assist a transgender individual in getting a gender affirmation surgery. This month we are raising money for Zella\, a trans femme enby\, to get hairline feminization surgery. Hairline lowering surgery can cost $7\,000 to $14\,000 and insurance does not cover it as they consider it a cosmetic surgery\, however\, receding hairlines and pattern baldness can be a huge cause of dysphoria. All proceeds from this show will go to help them. \nIn this burlesque and drag variety show we will be taking you on a trip to Slumberland\, a world of magic\, pajamas\, lingerie\, negligee\, and dreams. We have an amazing variety of performers\, some burlesque\, some drag\, some singing\, and even some interpretive dance.
