SUMMARY:The Last Year of the Rest of My Life Book Reading
DESCRIPTION:1985: Hair was big\, everyone wanted their MTV\, and no one’s parents ever knew where they were. Popular high school senior\, Cindy Marek\, realizing she feels compelled to protect the new heavy metal kid from her friends\, begins looking at how her group treats people and does not like what she sees. Part coming of age story\, part romance\, and part a reminder why everyone is glad their high school years are behind them\, The Last Year of the Rest of My Life addresses the question of what happens when someone has it all and realizes they want none of it. \nAuthor Yvette Zaepfel really did attend high school in the ’80s and survived to write about it. She currently lives in the Seattle area where she writes\, teaches\, and performs. When she isn’t doing any of those things\, she reads\, travels\, and accidentally kills house plants.
