After several months of false starts, Robert Zverina’s Picture of the Day (www.zverina.com) launched, almost accidentally, on January 24, 1998. Much has changed online and in the world since then, but PoD has retained its no-frills, ad-free, lo-fi web v.1 ethos and aesthetic as it continues to limp along 20 years later. To mark the anniversary, he’ll be premiering new robZtv film shorts, slideshow reading highlights from the website, and taking questions in what hopefully will morph into a lively group discussion, if not an actual riot.
